Best Practices in Chemical Dependency Resource Guide

This resource guide is designed to provide human service agencies with information related to best practices in chemical dependency.  The materials include information from several Minnesota counties as well as national research or programs in other states.

• Chemical Dependency Web Links.  This is a list of Web sites.  The list is sorted into General Information, Chemical Dependency and Families, Innovative Practices, Drug Courts, and Substance Abuse and Mental Health.  

• Trends in Best Practices in Chemical Dependency PDF.  This list includes several examples of trends and best practices research in chemical dependency.

• Analysis of Glenwood Residence PDF.  This is a report measuring the impact of the Glenwood model in stabilizing a chronic alcoholic population.  Glenwood is a facility operated by Catholic Charities in Hennepin County for men in late stages of alcoholism. 

• Anishinabe Wakiagun Residents’ Use of Emergency Services in Hennepin County PDF.  This report provides an analysis of the Anishinabe Wakiagun program in Hennepin County, a permanent supportive housing program for American Indian men and women who are chronic alcoholics.
