The Minnesota Association of County Social Service Administrators (MACSSA) is a statewide association made up of County Public Social Service Directors, or other administrative designees. 

MACSSA Purpose Statement

(Revised February 2004)

MACSSA has been in existence since 1946 and is representative of all 87 Minnesota counties.  The purpose of the Association is to gather, study, and disseminate information which will be helpful to policy makers and administrators in the enactment and implementation of federal and state human services legislation.  In accordance with this purpose:

The Association develops position statements on issues affecting both the administration and policy of public human services, and advocates these positions.

bullet

The Association strives to work in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Human Services and other state and federal agencies.

The Association provides for information exchange among its members through training and support.
